ABOUT OKOA
Greetings from OKOA Kenya!
Okoa is a registered community based organization No. TN/1211/3/2007 established on Christian faith, James 1: 27. Our main officer is located in Kiminini town West of Kitale town along Kitale-Webuye road, in Trans-Nzoia District, Kenya.
The mission of OKOA is to create sustainable projects in
the reintegration of marginalized groups including orphans, widows, those
suffering from HIV/AIDS into communities of support care. The mission is aimed
to be achieved through care and support initiatives directed to communities and
community groups through continues progress and change.

OKOA has a 6 year strategic plan for 2009-2015 that has 6 target areas these are
Orphan and disability outreach
Environmental Rehabilitation
Computer trainings
HIV/AIDs prevention and mitigation
Networking and capacity building
Income generating activities
OKOA was formed in 2007 with the aim of reaching out to our local community. It was created by and is managed by local Kenyan people who have a desire to use their skills for the greater good of the community. We also have volunteer supporters from the UK.
